授業の目的と概要/Object and Summary of Class

代表的生体分子である炭水化物，アミノ酸・ペプチド・タンパク質，脂質，核酸に含まれる水酸基，カルボニル基，アミノ基，カルボキシル基等，個々の官能基の構造と化学的性質を理解することを基本的目的とする。その上で，生体内で進行している様々な生化学反応を，基質と酵素との電子の授受に基づく合理的有機化学反応として捕らえられるようになることを究極的目的とする。
This class provides students with basic knowledge on the structures and chemical reactivity of biomolecules such as carbohydrates, peptides, lipids, and nucleic acids from a viewpoint of organic chemistry.

学習の到達目標/Goal of Study

生体分子の構造を把握すること。生体分子に含まれる各種官能基の基本的反応性を理解すること。生体分子間の化学反応を電子の合理的移動の視点から理解すること。
The purpose of this class is to help students acquire knowledge on the chemical structures and reactivity of biomolecules. Hopefully, this class is aimed at helping students to understand biosynthetic reactions as theoretically explainable organic reactions.

授業内容・方法と進度予定/Contents and Progress Schedule of the Class-1-授業計画

1. 生化学反応の有機化学的捉え方。生体分子の立体化学
Biochemical reactions as reasonable organic reactions. Stereochemistry of biomolecules.

成績評価方法/Record and Evaluation Method

期末試験の成績（80%）と課題（20%）で評価します。
Evaluation will be performed based on the end-of-term examination (80%) and homework reports (20%).

教科書および参考書/Textbook and References

教科書：新版 ライフサイエンスの有機化学（樹林千尋，秋葉光雄　共著；三共出版；）。初回の授業から教科書に沿って講義を進めるので，授業開始時までに準備し，授業時に必ず持参すること。
参考書：「はじめて学ぶ大学の有機化学」（深澤義正，笛吹修修　著；化学同人）；「マクマリー有機化学 下 第９版」（伊藤，児玉，荻野，深澤，通　訳；東京化学同人），「電子の動きと分子軌道による有機化学反応の解釈」（本吉谷二郎，三共出版）。
Textbook: Shinpan Raifusaiesuno-yuukikagaku (C. Kibayashi & M. Akiba; Sankyo Shuppan, Tokyo, 2004).
