Google Classroom's Class Code: bebccwt
1. Subject
Students develop fundamental skills and basic knowledge on discrete mathematics necessary for various fields of computer science.
2. Abstract
We will deal with the naive set theory and logic, and combinatorics such as graph theory, which include topics on proof techniques and algorithms.
3. Goals and Objectives
Students will find and improve their interest in various topics on the discrete mathematics. Deepen fundamental skills on mathematical thinking and logic, including proof and calculus skills.
本科目では高校数学修了程度の集合論および論理の知識があることを前提とする.
また, 全学教育科目の「線形代数学A/B」および「解析学A」の内容を理解していることが望ましい.
This class assumes that participants are familiar with the basic concepts in the high school level set theory and logic.
You are expected to be familiar with calculus and linear algebra which are the topics of the first-year classes "Linear Algebra A/B" and "Calculus A".

Students are expected to practice mathematical proof writing and mathematical way of thinking on their own. They are also expected to learn related topics including those which cannot be included in the class, by themselves. We will provide some information of references and exercises for the students' self-study.
試験,レポート出題,授業中の確認テスト等,成績はそれらを総合する.
Academic result is evaluated based on examinations, reports, and small tests during the class.
