身体の文化と科学/Culture and science through the body

授業の目的と概要/Object and Summary of Class

本授業の目的は学生にとって身近な「運動やスポーツ」を単に身体を動かすPhysical Exerciseとして考えるのではなく、「運動やスポーツ」を取り巻く様々な文化的背景、心理・社会的要因、身体適応の実態やメカニズムを理解することによって、「自己の身体」、「運動することの意味」、「スポーツの文化的意味」等への理解を高め、将来にわたり経験する運動・スポーツの新たな側面に気がついてもらうことである。複数の教官がそれぞれの専門の立場から、運動やスポーツに関する話題をとりあげ概説するオムニバス形式のコースである。

The aim of this course is to acquire the awareness of new aspects of exercises and sports from cultural, social, psychological, sports science and health perspectives. In this course, students are expected to develop multiple channels to connect with exercises and sports, rather than to regard exercises and sports simply as "physical exercise". The course will be conducted in an omnibus format, with several teachers outlining topics related to exercises and sports from their own specialist standpoints.

学修の到達目標/Goal of Study

(1)運動やスポーツに対して新たな気づきが獲得できるようになる。
(2)得られた気づきとこれまでの経験を結びつけることができるようになる。
(3)得られた気づきを言語化し、他者が理解できるような形で伝達できるようになる。

(1) Students will acquire new awareness of exercises and sports.
(2) Students will be able to make connections between the new awareness and their previous experiences.
(3) Students will be able to verbalize and communicate their awareness in a way that others can understand.

授業内容・方法と進度予定/Contents and Progress Schedule of the Class

全15回の授業の中で取り上げるテーマは以下を予定している。
必ずしも下記の順に講義を行うわけではない。

なお、本授業は原則対面事業で実施する。

This course will be conducted face-to-face.

成績評価方法/Evaluation Method

第1回目を除く各授業で課される課題により評価を行う。
課題内容はその回の授業担当教員によって異なり、毎回、講義内でアナウンスされるので注意すること。
各課題は50~100点で評価され、最終的な評価は各課題(14回分)の平均点に基づいて行われる。
なお、課題の未提出は0点になるので注意すること。
ただし、やむを得ない事情(忌引き・病気等)で欠席した場合には、その根拠資料(診断書等)をその回の担当教員に提出すれば、成績判定において考慮する場合がある。
課題について不正が認められた場合には厳正に対応する。


Grading is based on the assignments given in each class except the first class.
The content of the assignments will vary according to each teacher and will be announced in the class each time.
Each assignment is graded on a scale of 50-100 points, and the final grade is based on the average score of each assignment (14 classes).
Please note that failure to submit an assignment will result in a score of zero.
However, if you are absent due to unavoidable circumstances (bereavement, illness, etc.), you may be considered for grading if you submit evidence of your absence (medical certificate, etc.) to the teacher in charge of the class.
Strict action will be taken if irregularities are found in assignments.

    授業時間外学修/Preparation and Review

    本授業では各授業内でその都度課題が出るため、予習をする必要はありません。しかし、授業で扱うトピックは多岐にわたり、課題では自分の考えを言語化し、人に理解してもらえる記述が求められます。授業内での解説とフィードバックをもとづいて提出した課題内容を復習しながら、新たな気づきを得る機会にしてください。

    In this class, assignments will be given in each class, so there is no need to prepare for class. However, the class will cover a wide range of topics, and the assignments will require you to verbalize your own ideas and write in a way that others can understand. Please review based on the explanations and feedback in class to gain new insights.

    授業へのパソコン持ち込み【必要/不要】/Students must bring their own computers to class[Yes / No]

    必要。2回目以降に課される課題はGoogle Classroomから提出してもらうため、パソコンを持ち込んで参加したほうが望ましい。

    Yes. Students should bring their own computers from the second class, because assignments are submitted through Google Classroom.
